“Rebirth of Ashes”
The
work is a reaction to the global crisis we are
living on all levels: the economic, energetic and moral. The art becomes a mean of expression and denunciation. We need to express the frustration experienced, the
uncertainty of the future. We need imagination
... no matter the consequences. It is necessary that everybody
becomes aware and participates; it must become one
single cry. The art has to express the widespread despair,
we must speak out.
The work requires the intervention and involvement of the viewer to carry out the work. from its inception to completion it will require the transfer of raw materials to the site, like a ritual. Metaphorically it may be related to the action of the birds to make their nest. The work will be on site from June to September 2013. As a final the great nest-bide will be burnt, generating a large flare; a reference to the phoenix as a symbol of hope for a sustainable future.

“Renacer de las Cenizas”
La obra es una
reacción a la situación de crisis global que estamos viviendo en todos los
sentidos: económica, energética, de valores. El arte se convierte en canal de
expresión y denuncia, hace falta que nos pronunciemos ante la desazón vivida,
ante la incertidumbre del futuro, hace falta imaginación…no importan las
consecuencias. Hace falta que todo el mundo se entere, que todo el mundo
participe, que se convierta en un solo lamento. El arte tiene que expresar el
desconsuelo generalizado, tenemos que manifestarnos.
La
obra requiere de la intervención e implicación del espectador, para llevar a
cabo la obra, ya que desde su inicio, hasta la finalización, se requerirá el
traslado de la materia prima, hasta el sitio, como si fuera un ritual. Metafóricamente
se puede relacionar con la acción que realizan los pájaros al hacer su nido. La
obra estará in situ, desde junio hasta
septiembre del 2013, cuando finalice la exposición, se quemara el gran
nido-bide, generando una gran llamarada, como referencia al ave fénix a su
simbolismo y como esperanza a un futuro sostenible.
